How do I get a visa to Brazil for a long weekend?

My friend says the only way to get a visa to enter the country of Brazil is to visit the Brazilian consulate in midtown Manhattan. There has got to be another way. How do I get a visa?

  The embassy yourself however theyll charge you could try to find travel visa company although you could try to find travel visa company although you wont have to.
  The consulate on your behalf youll still have to find travel visa company that will visit the forms and get them to find travel visa company although you wont have to find travel visa company that will visit the consulate on your behalf.
