How long is a tourist visa valid in Brazil?

I was in Brazil last year and plan to go back in a few months, is my visa valid? Do I need to send off for another visa stamp?

    I was just there in October. I believe that they are good for 3 months.

    An extention they will ask that has service area for years from the date you show them plane bus etc ticket verifying the federal police station that you show them major.

    Sideshowknuck has it correct. You need to check your visa however because sometimes the consulate/embassy will issue you a one-time visa (which costs the same as the 5-year visa) and basically looks the same as the 5-year visa.
