The northeast of Brazil has a fantastic 3.300 km of coastline and is also the nearest major Brazilian tourist destinations to the Europe and America.

Another very positive point is that the northeast and specifically the city of Natal is said to be the safest place in Brazil. Therefore Natal property is one of the most popular investments for overseas buyers.
Tourism growth in the Northeast
Tourism in the northeast has been growing rapidly as it has been helped by a lot of investment including The Northeast region and its tourism industry have greatly benefited from the improvements funded by the Prodectur Action Programme and in Natal, Recife and Fortaleza, the development of tourism and the economy is significant with the contribution of tourism to the GDP of the Northeast reaching 6.32% (over twice the average rate for Brazil) while by the end of 2007, tourism has generated over 1.2m direct and indirect jobs.
Real estate development in the Northeast
The Northeast is at a point in which the tourism industry is experiencing considerable transformation in the volume and characteristics of its supply and demand and part of this transformation has been moved along by the development of large, modern tourism related real estate projects and resorts and a high amount of residential and commercial developments with many overseas companies, investors and people participating.
