Who believes the emerging story of the cat in Brazil that has given birth to puppies?

The Daily Mail isn’t the National Enquirer or a made up stories newspaper, they sent their science correspondent, it’s for real, there have been several possible alternative explanations, DNA tests are being done now.
If evolutionary theory is correct and Man came from primates and all life has common ancestors it must be possible for mutations to jump species even if only v. rarely, now we can map DNA it will be established whether this has happened, as in lion and tiger, donkey/house crosses or if it’s a hoax.
